Copper Shores assists many people in the western Upper Peninsula through several programs and opportunities. The foundation has meals on wheels for seniors and helps working people learn about managing money. Copper Shores also provide funds to support a variety of projects. And scholarships.

Today the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation will close the 2025 scholarship application portal for students graduating in the Copper Country seeking educational opportunities. The foundation plans to award six students with scholarships in 2025. The scholarships include awards ranging from 5000 dollars to 20,000 dollars. Three scholarship programs are funded by the Kirkish family fund, and another has been supported by the McIntyre family fund. A final scholarship opportunity to seniors graduating from Baraga, Calumet, Chassell, Ewen-Trout Creek,  dollar bay tamarack city, Hancock public schools, The Horizons Alternative School, Houghton, Jeffers, Lake Linden Hubbell L’anse, or Ontaongon schools is supported by the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation and the Keweenaw economic development alliance.
