Bethany Essner was awarded a scholarship from Ramblewood Garden Club of Cape Girardeau. Essner is a junior at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in ag-business, horticulture and cannabis.
She has always loved plants, the outdoors with nature, landscaping and design. Essner works several hours a week and is engaged with the activities with SEMO Horticulture Club.
Melissa Holmes, manager of Charles Hutson Greenhouse at the university, presented the scholarship check to Essner on March 25.
