Dozens of Estes Park High Schoolers received scholarships from local organizations as they prepare to begin their post-secondary education journeys.
The soon-to-be graduates piled into the Estes Park High School auditorium alongside their families and representatives from many of the community’s generous organizations, excited and honored to hear their names called, signifying rewards for their hard work both in the classroom and in the community.
Scholarships from 28 local organizations were presented to over 20 students, including awards of up to $20,000 in scholarship money. A grand total of $286,900 was awarded during the ceremony.
To start the night, Brileigh Leivestad was awarded the Estes Valley Recreation and Parks District Junior Golf Scholarship, totaling $5,000.
Next, Bennett Kemp, Jack Stegeman and Jerilyn Fischer were awarded Allenspark Hilltop Guild Scholarships, totaling $2,000 from Kemp and $1,500 for each Stegeman and Fischer.
Abigail “Abby” Elkinton, Javier Hernandez and Jerilyn Fischer were awarded American Legion Post 119 Auxiliary Scholarships with both Elkinton and Hernandez scoring $2,000 and Fischer $1,000.
Farrah Collins and Lily Shields were awarded scholarships of $1,500 apiece from the Town of Estes Park Helping Hands.
Lily Shields, Madison Fraley, Robin O’Malley and Farrah Collins were each awarded 2025 Courage Award Scholarships from the Bria Brown Foundation.
The Dan Copeland Memorial Scholarship awarded $5,000 to Abby Elkinton.
Quincey Pauls scored $1,000 by earning the Estes Park Education Association Scholarship.
The Estes Park Memorial Observatory awarded scholarship funds to six seniors. Bella Capo and Blake Marcantonio were awarded $1,000 and $1,500 respectively, while Alison Raymond, Dawn Nguyen and Owen Brandewie were awarded $1,000 and Bennett Kemp $2,000 as part of the MacAlpine Memorial Scholarship, named for Gordon MacAlpine.
Estes Park Patriots for Peace awarded $1,000 each to Abby Elkinton, Alison Raymond, Brileigh Leivestad, Farrah Collins and Quincey Pauls.
Estes Park United Methodist Church passed out $2,500 to Cris Estanol, Dawn Nguyen, and Quincey Pauls; as well as $1,000 to Angel Venzor and Kaitlyn Moore. All were part of the Dorothy Scott Memorial Scholarship.
Alison Raymond received a $5,000 scholarship from the Estes Park Village Band and Jazz Big Band.
Estes Park Western Heritage passed out $3,000 to both Blake Marcantonio and Jack Stegeman.
Bennett Kemp and Dawn Nguyen both earned $2,000 from the Estes Park Woman’s Club.
The Estes Valley Board of Realtors awarded $1,500 apiece to Farrah Collins and Robin O’Malley.
Twelve students were awarded scholarship funding from the Estes Valley Sunrise Rotary, including Bennett Kemp, Blake Marcantonio, Brileigh Leivestad, Jerilyn Fischer, Lily Shields, Madison Fraley and Owen Brandewie, who received $1,000 apiece. Abby Elkinton, Alison Raymond, Farrah Collins and Quincey Pauls received $2,000 apiece. Jack Stegeman was awarded $3,000.
The Estes Valley Land Trust Film Festival Scholarship was awarded to Jerilyn Fischer in the amount of $2,500. Sophomore Ella Oberon was rewarded $1,500 that will be held for her until she graduates.
Owen Brandewie received $2,000 from the Fine Arts Guild.
Friends of Estes Park Health awarded $5,000 in scholarship money to Abby Elkinton.
Lily Shields and Sophia Cowell were awarded $2,875 apiece from the Kimberly Carlson Memorial Scholarship.
The Kiwanis Club of Estes Park awarded Brileigh Leivestad $1,000 via the Hal Wilson Scholarship and Bennett Kemp $1,000 via the Vern and Jeannie Mertz Scholarship.
The Estes Park League of Women Voters awarded Abby Elkinton $500 for community service and Alison Raymond $500 for environmental sustainability.
The Muriel MacGregor Charitable Trust awarded Bennett Kemp and Lily Shields $4,000 apiece.
PEO Chapter AV awarded the Dorothy and James Durrett Scholarship to Abby Elkinton in the amount of $2,900.
PEO Chapter GJ awarded $4,000 to Quincey Pauls, $3,000 to Abby Elkinton and $2,000 to Lily Shields.
PEO Chapter IY passed out $2,000 to both Lily Shields and Robin O’Malley.
The Rotay Club of Estes Park dished out more than ten scholarships, including $20,000 apiece to Cris Estanol, Javier Hernandez, Blake Marcantonio and Raul Perez via the Rhinehart Scholarship, designed to support first-generation college students.
