Harvestone Low Carbon Partners, the parent company to ethanol biorefineries Blue Flint, near Underwood, North Dakota, and Dakota Spirit near Spiritwood, North Dakota, announced it has awarded two, $1,000 scholarships to high school students pursuing higher education. Each student attended high school in Harvestone’s local communities.
The recipients are McKenna Faulkner, of Turtle Lake-Mercer High School and Ethan Prodzinski of Jamestown High School.

Faulkner will attend Bismarck State College this fall majoring in agribusiness and Prodzinski plans to attend the University of North Dakota this fall majoring in mechanical engineering.
The Harvestone scholarships are awarded to promote the continuous growth of the energy and agricultural industries in North Dakota. Harvestone has awarded scholarships for the last eight years.
Harvestone is an environmentally friendly biofuels based in the Midwest. Its portfolio includes biorefineries including Blue Flint and Dakota Spirit in North Dakota.
