ZANESVILLE − Students will receive scholarships and a diverse lunch is planned in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Ethnic Food Fair is an annual luncheon at Zane State College that celebrates diversity through food while honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It will take place at 11 a.m. Jan. 17, in the Campus Center.
Marketta Thomas, ZSC chief strategy officer and executive director of Enterprise Muskingum, will be the featured speaker.
This year’s menu includes:
French dishes − Beef Bourguignon, Potatoes Savoyard, Ratatouille and Chocolate Mousse.
Italian dishes − Chickpeas, Creamy Cheese Tortellini, Minestroni and No Bake Pistachio Cheesecake.
Jamaican dishes − Brown Stew Chicken, Rice and Peas, Steamed Cabbage, ToTo Coconut Cake.
Soul dishes − Fried Cabbage, Green Beans and Potatoes, Pork Belly Strips and Bread Pudding.
Tickets are $15 when purchased online and $20 cash at the door.
Proceeds will go to the Joyce A. Farmer Smith Memorial Scholarship, which benefits Zane State students.
