PLYMOUTH — A fund-raiser to support a scholarship named for a beloved Middleboro High School drama teacher will feature music and a live auction.
“A Mid-Spring Night’s Dream’’ will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, 11 North St., Plymouth. Phillip “the Colonel’’ Gomes will serve as auctioneer. Vocalist Janelle Snarsky will perform.
Hors d’oeuvres and a dessert bar will be available. There will be a cash bar.
The event will benefit the Dani Duggan Performing Arts Scholarship Fund. The fund honors the memory of the former Middleboro High School drama teacher and fine arts department chair who died of cancer in 2022 at 56.
She also directed the Speech & Theater workshop and several plays, supervised That’s Entertainment and created The Black and Purple Ball. She was instrumental in the design of the Middleboro High Performing Arts center and Blackbox theater.
