Cecilia Huape, Jurupa High School graduate, is the California/Nevada District Exchange Club $2,500 scholarship recipient. 
The Fontana Exchange Club continued its legacy of supporting youth by awarding 71 Fontana high school graduates with $750 scholarships for their post-secondary education. In total, the 2025 graduated received $53,250 in financial assistance.
In addition, Jurupa High School graduate Cecelia Huape was chosen as a California/Nevada District Exchange Club scholarship recipient and will receive $2,500.
She will continue to compete for the Exchange Club national awards. And finally, Summit High School graduate Ella Antekeier, daughter of Fontana Exchange Club members Vanessa and Adam Antekeier, was awarded the Legacy Scholarship, also in the amount of $750.
The $750 scholarship recipients are:
A.B. Miller High School: Eduardo Cortes, Aaliyah Quintero, Dulce Ceballos, Jocelyn Lopez Morales, Judith Villalpando, Ramon Aguilar, Axl Cajal, Sophia Lopez, Gabriel Mendoza, Moises Aguilar, Nadine Sanchez and Mariana De Loera De lara
Citrus High School: Joshua Moreno Gonzalez and Alexis Freeman
Entrepreneur High School: Marco Merida, Anjelika Izel Larrreta and Emily Padilla Solis.
Fontana High School: Frank Perez, Andy Contreras, Leslie Buenrostro, Ethan Gonzalez, Jose Chi, Johnathan Lopez, Kathrine Llamas, Abigail Valencia, Jarred Martinez, Sherlyn Gutierrez, Nathan Pena, Jorge Gallo and Daniel Villasenor.
Jurupa Hills High School: Michael Cervantes, Sabina Mendez, Eunice Reyes Conteras, Marsy Serrano, Lluvia Rodriguez-Basillo, Eduardo Gomez, Adriana-Rene Humber, Ariana Bernal, Cecelia Huape, David Diaz, Aaron Gonzalez and Destiny Padilla.
Kaiser High School: Kailana Mihaila, Santiago Iniguez, Eric Contreras-Perez, Bryan Lopez, Valeria Garcia Ruiz, Joel De La Cruz Lara, Sophia Chin, April Garcia, Eunisse Ayala, Axel Jiminez, Melissa Alvarez, Armando Sandoval and Sarai Ramos.
Summit High School: Faustina Okeke, Sophia Solomon, Ella Antekeier, Meghan Stewart, Joshua Gonzales, Sesbastion Sánchez, Te’ariah Ruff, Edwin Trujillo, Zoie Allen, Yvette Negrete, Kaori Williams and Justin Zavala.
The Fontana Days carnival, sponsored by the Fontana Exchange Club, is the sole source of revenue that allows the club to provide this year’s $53,250 in scholarships. The 2025 carnival is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, to Sunday, June 8.
