PATTAYA, Thailand – Mayor of Nongprue Municipality, Winai Inpitak, announced full readiness for the National Children’s Day celebration on January 6. This year, the event will feature 100 scholarships for underprivileged but academically outstanding students, funded by generous donors and the municipality. Schools have been tasked with selecting deserving students to receive the scholarships.
The event will also include the distribution of bicycles to students facing transportation challenges and lucky children attending the event. Registration for children opens at 8:00 AM, followed by an official opening ceremony, scholarship presentations, and 11 performances by students from local schools.

Around 10:00 AM, more than 50 food booths, provided by the 31 communities within the municipality, will serve meals to children. Additionally, government agencies will host games and activities, and the disaster prevention unit will offer rides on a crane truck, simulating the height of a seven-story building. Inflatable houses will be available for kids, along with two giant robots for photo opportunities.
Over 1,500 children are expected to participate in the event. Parents are encouraged to label their children’s belongings with their name, address, and contact number in case of separation. Parking will be available at Wat Suthawas as the roads near the municipal office will be closed for the festivities.
The celebration promises to be a day filled with joy, education, and community spirit, with all preparations now complete.
