Del Norte LOV Foundation News:
SANTA FE – Del Norte LOV (Living Our Vision) Foundation, the independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization associated with Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), announces 13 area graduating high school seniors have been named as recipients of the annual Del Norte LOV Foundation Scholarship Program associated with Del Norte Credit Union for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Encantado Foundation partnered with the Del Norte LOV Foundation to support recipients pursuing STEM-related career pathways.
“We are always so proud to come alongside young adults pursuing higher education. This year has been our most successful scholarship program yet, with more recipients and awards than ever before! We increased the overall amount of our scholarship program to $29,000 for 13 deserving students who are aspiring to great things. I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Encantado Foundation for contributing to this effort by giving $5,000 to support STEM-related career recipients!”
Del Norte LOV Foundation Director Connie Tooker Nuñez said, “We believe that supporting our youth paves the way for brighter futures in our communities, and we are so excited to see the impact these young adults will make.”
DNCU CEO/President John Molenda said, “Improving Lives is the heart of everything we do at Del Norte Credit Union and the Del Norte LOV Foundation. Helping young adults thrive and continue their education is one of the most important ways we demonstrate our values. Having more recipients and awards to give is so exciting and indicative of the incredible academic talent across New Mexico. We’re proud to be a part of this effort. Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients!”
Seven seniors are set to receive $1,000 each, four seniors will receive $3,000, and two students will each receive a $5,000 award. The funds are to be used for achieving a higher education goal – a college or vocational school of their choice. Scholarships are available to anyone who is a graduating senior, homeschooled, or GED student attending an accredited vocational school, college, or university for the upcoming school year.
Recipients are chosen based on their academic record, work experience, statement of goals, and demonstrated leadership in their schools and communities. Scholarship America, Inc., is responsible for the selection of scholarship recipients.
