The EYC Foundation (EYCF) has announced its Marine & Maritime Scholarship recipients for 2024, benefitting 13 students with over $40,000 in financial support. This year’s cohort includes five new scholarship recipients and eight returning students, highlighting EYCF’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in the marine and maritime industries.

Since its inception in 2015, the EYCF scholarship program has significantly expanded, both in the number of recipients and the total amount awarded. The 2024 scholarships nearly double the 2023 total, reflecting the foundation’s growing impact on students with a passion for the maritime world.
New Scholarship Recipients for 2024:

Mike Morris, Chair of the Marine & Maritime Scholarship committee, expressed his satisfaction with supporting workforce development in the marine and maritime industries. He noted the challenges of selecting from a pool of talented applicants and the fulfilment in helping students achieve their career dreams.
The EYC Foundation, a 501(c)3 all-volunteer non-profit, continues to fundraise for its educational programs. Details about this year’s auction, starting in late August, will be available soon.
