The Fraternal Order of Eagles 812, of Clearfield, recently presented scholarships to local Clearfield Area High School and Clearfield County Career and Technology Center graduates. Scholarships were presented by Secretary Justin Hainsey and member Steve Livergood.
The Aerie started the Fraternal Order of Eagles Scholarship at the high school in 2019 and the CCCTC in 2024. “The high school scholarship was started to follow our motto of People Helping People, in hopes to help local Clearfield Area High School graduates pursue their higher education. Last year, we started a scholarship at the vo-tech to broaden our mission to help those pursuing higher education in a trade occupation”, says Secretary Justin Hainsey.
Each year, a Scholarship Committee is appointed by the Worthy President of the Aerie to oversee each scholarship and choose the recipients. “We received several applications this year for each scholarship. The applicant pool was by far the most we’ve received thus far, and it was extremely tough to choose just one recipient for each”, says Hainsey.
This year, the Scholarship Committee was able, to pass by a majority vote, to grant thirteen recipients for the high school and two for the CCTC scholarships, totaling $16,000.
The 2025 Clearfield Area High School recipients were Dehlia Elbe, Makenzie Thompson, Katie Peacock, Lilly Rich, Carrie Fox, Connor Morgan, Nicholas Bailor, Daisy Knepp, Bradyn Visnofsky, Lauren Edwards, Olivia Mitchell, Isiah Snyder and Madison Birchem. The 2025 CCCTC recipients were Cayden Ross and Monte Diethrick. The Aerie would like to thank all of those that applied for these scholarships and wishes everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors.
