A scholarship foundation formed by the family of baby Iris Rita Alfera continues to keep her memory alive and in the public eye.
The 1 1/2-year-old child died June 29, 2023, of acetone poisoning. Her death, ruled a homicide, gained international attention and outrage and has caused her family deep grief.
