A charity fashion show in Canandaigua raised approximately $20,000 to support future healthcare professionals and continuing education for local hospital staff.
Held on June 8 at Finger Lakes Community College, the event was hosted by the Thompson Health Guild and sponsored by Eastview Mall. Proceeds from the show will fund annual scholarships for high school seniors pursuing healthcare-related studies and support the Guild Education Fund for Thompson Health associates.
“The Thompson Health Guild thanks our generous community for their continued support,” said Guild President Katie Outhouse. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be able to offer these educational opportunities to so many brilliant and promising young people, as well as support our hospital associates.”
The fashion show is one of the Guild’s flagship fundraising events. Established in 1905, the Guild supports F.F. Thompson Hospital and the broader Thompson Health system, which includes a hospital, nursing home, primary care and urgent care locations, outpatient rehabilitation, and more.
Community members interested in joining the Guild can apply online at www.ThompsonHealth.com/Guild or contact the Membership Committee directly.
