EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW) – The Flint Hills Technical College Foundation received a $12,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation to support students pursuing careers in CNC technology and machining-based engineering.
The grant will provide scholarships for students enrolled in FHTC’s Computerized Machine Tool Engineering program, with a portion designated to support student participation in SkillsUSA CNC competitions.
“This generous grant from the Gene Haas Foundation directly impacts our ability to train the next generation of skilled manufacturing professionals. These scholarships help remove financial barriers for students entering high-demand technical careers.”
The scholarship recipients will be selected based on criteria determined by program instructors and advisory committee members.
