The Scholarship Ministry at First Baptist Church, located at 290 E. Winchester St. in Gallatin, hosted its annual Scholarship Awards and Recognition Service on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
Gallatin native Kelby Allen (Senior Operations Advisor, Internal Revenue Service), served as the guest speaker. The service honored both high school and college graduates from the 2024-25 academic year. The Scholarship Ministry awarded 15 scholarships to students who will be continuing their education at various academic and training institutions in the fall. 
The following scholarships were awarded:
Emmitt Stevenson Memorial Scholarship: Alexia Taylor;
Derrick & Laurie Jackson Scholarship: Asante Brown;
John V. & Alice B. Malone Memorial Scholarship: Langston Winston;
Betty Rochelle Memorial Scholarship: Za’Kiya Majors;
FBC General Scholarships: Cameron Taylor, Makenzie Lauderdale;
William “Bubba” Dunn Memorial Scholarship: La’Serionna Bowers;
John R. Ray Memorial Scholarship: Andrew Scharkley;
Willie Mae & George Johnson Sr. Memorial Scholarship: Alonzo Davis;
Alice L. (High) Douglas Memorial Scholarship: Ne’Liyah Jenkins;
McCormick Family Scholarship: Andrianie Burch;
FBC Memorial Scholarships: De’Aunna Whitaker, Jameson Davis, Le’Eric McKinley;
S.Y.M. STEM Scholarship: India Rutledge.
