Kathryn Williams awarded scholarship check.
NEW HARTFORD — First Source Federal Credit Union announced a $2,500 scholarship for recent New York Mills graduate Kathryn Williams, who is a current member of the credit union, according to company officials. The scholarship was awarded to Williams due to her strong performance in academic and extracurricular work as a student, said officials.
“At First Source, we are deeply committed to supporting educational opportunities within our community,” John Calabrese, president/CEO of First Source, said. “It’s truly inspiring to see one of our Members, Kathryn, taking the next steps toward her future through higher education. We are proud of her achievements and wish her continued success in all her academic pursuits.”
Williams will attend Utica University in the fall and will major in occupational therapy, while also participating in indoor and outdoor track and field, officials said. Williams also plans on volunteering with St. Mary’s Church, AYSO, Coliseum Soccer Club, and the Utica City Football Club.
