The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the final group of 2025 National Merit Scholarship winners, including five outstanding students from Broward County Public Schools (BCPS). These students are among nearly 800 new recipients nationwide of college-sponsored awards, joining more than 2,900 others who were announced in June.
Congratulations to the newest BCPS National Merit Scholars:
“We are incredibly proud of these students and all our National Merit Scholars for their academic excellence, hard work and dedication,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “Their success reflects the strength of our schools, the commitment of our educators and the support of their families.”
These college-sponsored awards, ranging from $500 to $2,000 annually for up to four years, are funded by the colleges the students plan to attend. In total, more than 7,100 high school graduates nationwide have been named 2025 National Merit Scholars, receiving nearly $26 million in scholarships.
