EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE — Five JROTC cadets from Okaloosa County high schools were honored on April 15 with prestigious scholarships from the Air and Space Forces Association (AFA) Eglin Chapter Education Foundation.
The awards were presented during a special reception at the Air Force Armament Museum, recognizing cadets from Choctaw, Fort Walton Beach and Niceville High Schools for their leadership, service and academic excellence.
The scholarship recipients are:
“These cadets exemplify the values of leadership, service, and excellence that define our JROTC programs,” said Superintendent Marcus Chambers in a statement. “We are incredibly proud of their achievements and thankful to the Air and Space Forces Association Eglin Chapter for investing in their futures. These young men and women represent the very best of Okaloosa County, and we know they will go on to do great things.”
The AFA Eglin Chapter Education Foundation provides scholarships annually to recognize academic achievement and leadership among students in JROTC programs across the region.
