NASA and the University of Texas at Austin Center for Space Research have joined forces to encourage high school students’ interest in STEM careers. The SEES project offers onsite internships at the University of Texas at Austin, and virtual projects in June and July 2025. Capture your own real-time telescope image using the MicroObservatory robotic telescope network. As NASA prepares for future human space missions, there will be a need to consider how various waste streams, including solid waste, can be minimized. Developing ways to store, process, and recycle waste in a space environment will be crucial so that little or no waste will need to be returned to Earth. NASA’s LunaRecycle Challenge offers up to $3 million in prizes to design and develop recycling solutions that can reduce solid waste and improve the sustainability of longer-term lunar missions.
