Each year, the Simi Valley Education Foundation awards scholarships to deserving students so they can attend college, technical or vocational schools. Students are chosen from the local high schools, and this year $13,000 worth of scholarship money was given to 13 boys and girls going to four-year colleges.
The Simi Education Foundation also gave the $1,000 scholarships to three students headed for two-year community college.
The 2025 recipients are:
• Royal High School: Mirian Ahmadian, Lola Forbes-Black, Mikayla Lev, Anajali Nakkala, Jasmine Panameno, Rory Kohler.
• Santa Susana High School: Morgan Horney, Bryce Sechirst, Nicholas Thor, Jonas Tieu.
• Simi Valley High School: Sahasra Anne, Paige Lewis, Shayna Salerno.
• The two-year scholarships for community college students went to Stephanie Mesta, Apollo High School; Sibrah Ali, Santa Susana High School; Avery Cooper, Simi Valley High School.
The Walt Fuller Foundation donated $10,000 toward the program.
