ASHLAND, Ky. — The Foundation for the Tri-State is currently accepting scholarship applications.
Local high school seniors planning on attending college may apply for scholarships to provide tuition assistance.
The Foundation has scholarships available to students in over 30 local high schools for graduating seniors applying to college including high schools in Lawrence County.
Last year, 43 scholarships and awards, totaling $65,250, were presented to young men and women from funds at the Foundation for the Tri-State Community, Inc. Foundation CEO and president Kathryn Lamp said, “Generous community members have established these scholarship funds- some in honor of loved ones who have passed away, while others are simply dedicated to supporting local students in their educational journeys. They serve as a wonderful reminder that ordinary people can make an extraordinary impact in their community.”
This year, the Foundation has launched a new scholarship application portal to make it easier for students to apply online. The deadline to apply is March 15.
