The Henry County Cattlemen’s Association awarded scholarships to four Henry County scholars April 7 at the Henry County Extension Office.
The winners of the scholarships were:
Callie Derossett, who will attend the University of Kentucky and study animal science/pre-vet.
Wade Moore, who will attend Murray State University and study pre-vet.
Brenna Perkins, who will attend Oklahoma State University and study ag communication and ag business.
Kylee Morris, who attends Midway University and studies management and equine sales, and business. Morris is a second-time winner.
The scholarships are for $1,000 a semester and if the student maintains a 2.5 GPA, they are awarded another $1,000 for the second semester.
Students can only win the award twice.
Laura Stephenson, vice president for land-grant engagement and dean of the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment at the University of Kentucky, was the guest speaker and presented the scholarships.
