Mason Health and Mason Health Foundation are proud to offer scholarships for Mason County graduating high school students, Mason County residents, and employees of Mason Health seeking to further their career development. Applications are now open for three health care scholarships for future Mason County healthcare workers. Mason Health is once again offering a full-ride nursing scholarship for Shelton High School Health Sciences Academy students, while the Foundation’s Auxiliary and Centennial Guild chapters are offering scholarships for any Mason County student pursuing a career in health care. The Auxiliary scholarships are also open to Mason Health employees, and the Centennial Guild scholarship is open to Mason County residents and workers.
For the fourth year in a row, Mason Health is investing in Shelton youth and paving the way for future nurses at Mason General Hospital.
If you are a Shelton High School student in the Health Sciences Academy, please consider this opportunity to have Mason Health fully cover your nursing school tuition and school expenses.
The Mason Health scholarship provides funding for all tuition, books, uniforms, lab and simulation fees, and licensure application and examination fees associated with obtaining your license. Students are also offered a position at Mason Health during school and after if a position is open.
Please return completed applications with attachments and send to Mason Health Senior Director of Performance Excellence Nicole Eddins at neddins@masongeneral.com no later than April 1, 2025.
If you are a Mason Health employee (part-time or full-time), or a Mason County high school student graduating this year, you may apply for the Foundation Auxiliary scholarship. High school applicants must be pursuing a career in the health care or computer science field, while Mason Health employees need to be pursuing higher education in the medical field.
All scholarship applications must be postmarked or received by Friday, April 18, at 4 p.m. in order for your application to be considered. For questions about the Auxiliary scholarship application process, please contact Carol Goodburn, Foundation Auxiliary Treasurer, at 360.426.8433.
The Centennial Guild is excited to provide scholarships to those who live or work in Mason County and are dedicated to pursuing education in the medical field. This scholarship, in memory of late Mason General Hospital nurse Kristi Armstrong, caters to applicants of all ages, including 2025 high school graduates, current college students, individuals contemplating a career change, or professionals seeking advancement in their medical careers.
Application submissions are due by April 27, 2025. If you have any questions about the scholarship or scholarship selection process, please contact centennialguild@yahoo.com.
All scholarships can be accessed at Mason Health website or by connecting with your high school career counselor.
