MISSOULA, Mont. — Flathead Valley Community College raised more than $60,000 at its FVCC Foundation Spring Festival of Flavors event held April 3.
Funds raised go toward student scholarships.
"Every dollar raised represents an opportunity for someone to transform their life through education," Chief Development Officer at FVCC Tagen Vine said in a press release. "We're grateful to everyone who contributed to making this possible."
The FVCC scholarship application is now open at fvcc.edu/scholarships. There are more than 850 scholarships offered.

Flathead Valley Community College (FVCC) raised over
$60,000 during its annual FVCC Foundation Spring Festival of Flavors event held on April 3.
Funds raised go toward scholarships, directly funding educational opportunities for deserving
students.
"We are grateful to our community for their generosity," said FVCC President Jane Karas.
"These funds will directly impact the futures of many promising students who might otherwise
struggle to pursue higher education."
The evening featured a special performance by FVCC Theatre, offering a sneak peek of the
upcoming production of "Pirates of Penzance.” Later in the program, FVCC Substance Abuse
Counseling student Catrina Olson shared her inspiring journey of overcoming personal
struggles to pursue higher education.
FVCC’s Culinary Institute of Montana students prepared Chef Andy Blanton’s southern-inspired
menu, each course thoughtfully paired with a Browne Family Vineyards wine. Summit Beverage,
in partnership with Browne Family Vineyards, served as the major sponsor for the event.
The proceeds from the event will fund multiple scholarships for the upcoming academic year.
Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, financial need and personal
circumstances.

FVCC’s scholarship application is open now to all students at fvcc.edu/scholarships. With one
simple application, students are considered for 850 institutional scholarships, many of which are
funded through Festival of Flavors events.
Proceeds from all FVCC Festival of Flavors events support student scholarships at the college.
Approximately 80% of degree-seeking students at FVCC receive financial assistance, and in
2024, the FVCC Foundation awarded over $2 million in scholarships to nearly 700 students.
