The Geneseo Garden Club presented two awards during the Geneseo Central School Award Ceremony on June 9.
Catherine Staley, daughter of Mary Catherine and Glenn Staley of Geneseo, received the Garden Club Scholarship. Catherine will attend Duquesne University in Pittsburg, Pa., to major in environmental and energy engineering. After graduation, Catherine hopes to work with the Department of Environmental Conservation or with an engineering firm to help protect =natural resources and environment.
