UPDATE: Boil Water Order Lifted for Seneca Falls
The Geneva General Hospital Auxiliary has awarded a $500 scholarship to, Isabella Bonventre, a senior at Geneva High School. Bonventre was awarded the scholarship because she earned the highest mentor evaluation average among her classmates in the New Vision Medical Careers Program at Geneva General Hospital. Mentor evaluations encompass assessments from a variety of practitioners including physicians, therapists, nurses, administrators, aides, and extenders. New Vision Instructor, Laura Van Niel, presented her with the award and certificate at the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center’s graduation ceremony on June 11.
Bonventre will attend Nazareth College in the fall with plans to study physical therapy.
The New Vision Medical Careers Program is an educational partnership with Finger Lakes Technical & Career Center and Finger Lakes Health. Now in its 30th year of offering outstanding high school seniors from surrounding districts a total immersion approach to education, the New Vision Medical Careers Program integrates Health Science, English, Participation in Government and Economics into a curriculum where students meet daily at Geneva General Hospital.
