A Glasgow High School and a Barren County High School senior are among the four students chosen as recipients of this year’s T.J. Regional Health educational scholarships.
These four $2,000 scholarships were given to students “who are planning to pursue a career in a healthcare related field,” a T.J. Regional Health press release stated.
Cainin Woodward is a senior at Glasgow High School who will be attending the University of Kentucky this fall to study “healthcare sciences.” The press release states she hopes to become a radiologist and “mentor and inspire other young people interested in healthcare the way her mother, a nurse, inspired her.”
Barren County High School senior Briley Aidala was also one of the four chosen. She will be attending Alice Lloyd College in Pippa-Passes, Kentucky, to major in pre-pharmacy with the ultimate goal of “seek[ing] a PharmD at the University of Kentucky.”
“[W]orking in a local pharmacy for the past two and half years solidified her desire to serve her community as a pharmacist,” the press release stated.
The other recipients include seniors Addison Bartley of Monroe County High School and Carlee Huckabee of Adair County High School.
