With record attendance, exceptional participation in the live and silent auctions, and fantastic entertainment from George Strait tribute act Unwound, the annual Gold & Blue Scholarship Gala at Southeastern Oklahoma State University was another rousing success.
The 2024 event, which was held November 2, raised more than $50,000, which will go to the Southeastern Foundation for scholarship funds.
The Gold & Blue Gala hosted by the Southeastern Alumni Association – began in 2000 and has now raised nearly $700,000 for scholarships for Southeastern students in that time.
“Thanks so much to all of our attendees and donors for making the Gold and Blue Gala another standout night on the Southeastern campus,” said Southeastern President Dr. Thomas Newsom. “The legacy of giving at Southeastern continues to grow, as our alumni have committed to making their university stronger every year by making sure future students have the opportunity to create their own legacy at Southeastern.”
“We appreciate the continued generosity of Durant and the family and friends of Southeastern. Their generosity truly makes a difference in the lives of Southeastern students,” said Andrea Mersiovsky, chairperson of the Gold & Blue Gala Committee.
