WORTHINGTON — Worthington’s Early Risers Kiwanis Club, with funds from the Kiwanis Educational Foundation, Inc., awarded two $1,000 scholarships during its May 8 meeting.
Early Risers Kiwanis President Clair Williams presented the scholarships to Worthington High School seniors Newyouman Gora and Herminio Mazariegos.
Within the Minnesota-Dakotas District, Gora and Mazariegos were each selected to receive scholarships toward their education upon registering for fall classes in a post-secondary school.
Parents, Kiwanis members and counselors Lakeyta Swinea and Kayla Hendrickson joined in congratulating the two seniors.
