In 2024, the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF) administered education funding to Greater Itasca area students through over 90 scholarships funded by area donors. Some of those 90+ scholarships offered multiple scholarships which resulted in a total of 199 scholarships worth $329,000 awarded to Greater Itasca area students.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of our donors for continuing their tradition of funding scholarships for area students,” says Mindy Nuhring, Executive Director of the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation. “It’s wonderful to see so many community members, past and present, coming together to invest in the future of our young people. Each donation supports not only the educational aspirations of the students but makes a profound impact on their lives and on the future of our community. I would also like to thank the many scholarship committees and counselors who make it all work.”
