The Greene County Master Gardeners are awarding two $500 scholarships to high school seniors or college students who are interested in furthering their education in the area of horticulture, agriculture, gardening, plant study or plant management at a college.
This scholarship will be awarded in the form of a certificate. The scholarship winners will then need to forward a copy of his/her registration and/or class schedule from the college to the Greene County Master Gardeners. After the proof of college attendance is received, the winners will be sent a check.
Those who are interested in applying for this scholarship must complete and return an application to the Greene County Master Gardeners by April 18. Greene County high school seniors can get applications from their high school guidance counselors. College students may obtain an application by contacting Brenda Hughes, chairman of Scholarship Committee, email HughesBL64@gmail.com.
