
GREENWICH, CT ā The First County Bank Foundation has awarded its 2025 Richard E. Taber Citizenship Award scholarships to three Fairfield County high school graduates, including a student from Greenwich, who are recognized for their academic achievements, leadership, and community service.
This yearās recipients ā Ashley Malkin of Greenwich, Teji Rawat of Stamford, an d Amogh Ganjikunta of Fairfield ā will each receive a $5,000 scholarship toward their college education. The annual award honors students who demonstrate strong citizenship in their schools, homes, and communities.
“Every year, during the application evaluation process, we look forward to learning about how our young citizens are contributing to society and specifically their local community,” said Robert J. Granata in a news release. Granata is the chairman and CEO of First County Bank and president of the First County Bank Foundation. “We continue to be astonished by the high level of academics, leadership and volunteerism of the Richard E. Taber Citizenship Award applicants. We are proud to award scholarships to Amogh, Ashley and Teji. All of us at First County Bank wish them much success in the future.”
Malkin, a Greenwich High School graduate, will attend Stanford University to major in symbolic systems.
Ganjikunta graduated from Fairfield Warde High School and plans to study computer science and education studies at Harvard University. 
Rawat, a graduate of Stamfordās Academy of Information Technology and Engineering, will attend Vanderbilt University and major in economics and medicine, health and society.
The scholarship is named in honor of Richard E. Taber, former chairman and CEO of First County Bank, who retired in 2011 after more than 40 years with the institution. The award recognizes students who embody the values of honesty, hard work, and service.
Applications for the scholarship are accepted annually from January through April. For more information, visit First County Bankās website.
