PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney chapter of PEO — Philanthropic Educational Organization — an international organization “where women motivate, educate and celebrate women,” recently honored 2025 Punxsutawney Area High School graduate Mary Grusky on being selected for the PEO STAR Scholarship.
Mysti Dinger, Chapter W President, said the STAR Scholarship is a one-time $2,500 scholarship available to women “who exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.”
She said the applicant for the STAR scholarship must be recommended by a local chapter.
“Mary was highly recommended by Chapter W based on her many activities in school and in her community,” Dinger said.
