Harford County Chamber awards 10 scholarships at annual education breakfast

The was awarded 10 scholarships at its annual & Breakfast on Friday, June 13, at . The scholarships went to graduating seniors, returning adult students and a FreeState ChalleNGe Academy cadet.
The event recognized Shelby Hultquist as Public Schools Teacher of the Year, who received the Crystal Apple Award and delivered an inspirational message to attendees. “Solutions don’t come from complaining,” Hultquist said. “They come from doing. Growth comes from resilience.” Melissa Williams of Joppatowne High School was named 2025 Principal of the Year.
Scholarships are funded through the Harford County Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation and sponsors including Harford County Public Library, Freedom Federal Credit Union, APG Federal Credit Union, Towson University in Northeastern Maryland and Wade Sewell. A Mini Golf tournament fundraiser generated nearly $2,500.
