The Isiokpo Bicycle Carnival 2024, an event known for its celebration of culture, sportsmanship, and community unity, became a platform for an extraordinary act of kindness as Harry Excellent Amadi, the Managing Director/Chief Executive, Hamrex Properties, extended his philanthropic arm to support the education of children in Isiokpo Town.
Amadi, a passionate advocate for education and youth development, awarded scholarships to deserving children and provided them with essential educational materials, including books and school bags. This heartfelt gesture not only brightened the carnival but also emphasized his commitment to fostering a brighter future for young minds.
The scholarship awards, designed to cover tuition and other academic expenses, were given to children from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring they have access to quality education. In addition to the scholarships, the distribution of school bags and books aimed to equip the children with the tools they need to excel in their studies.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Amadi expressed his belief in education as a powerful tool for societal transformation.
He stated: “Education is the foundation of progress and a key to unlocking the potential of our youth. By investing in their education and providing them with the necessary resources, we are not just supporting these children but also laying the groundwork for a better community and a stronger nation. It brings me immense joy to contribute to their journey.”
