A game-changer for Canada, Hobamine promotes healthy cell function by uniquely protecting cells against free radical damage
TSI Group’s Hobamine has been issued a Natural Product Number (NPN) number #80138909 — the first-ever to be issued in Canada for a 2-HOBA ingredient — indicating its approval by Health Canada’s Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate (NNHPD) to be sold in the Canadian market.
A form of the naturally occurring compound 2-HOBA, Hobamine is registered with an NPN claim as an ingredient that proactively helps cells fight or protect against the oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
“Receiving an NPN from Health Canada is a tremendous milestone for Hobamine and a testament to TSI Group’s commitment to innovation in health and wellness,” comments TSI Group Vice President of Business Development Shawn Baier.
“This approval marks the first time Hobamine® has been recognised in Canada, opening the door for consumers to experience its unique benefits.”
Hobamine is an entirely new type of cellular health ingredient.
It is the only nutritional intervention known to date that specifically targets the negative impact of oxidative stress, but not the body's normal, healthy processes.
It does this by “capturing” common downstream products of oxidative stress that are linked to dysfunction, preventing them from binding to other cellular components.
TSI Group has invested significant time and resources into Hobamine research.
“We are at the forefront of bringing novel, science-backed ingredients to market. Health Canada’s approval of Hobamine further solidifies our leadership in innovation.”
“We are thrilled to introduce a brand new ingredient to the Canadian market, reinforcing our role as pioneers in the industry,” Baier continues.
“With regulatory validation, we can now work with partners to bring this breakthrough ingredient to Canadian consumers looking for next-generation health solutions.”
