Here's Your Chance to Step Inside Brooklyn's Architectural Treasure– Its Brownstones! – BKReader

The Brownstoners of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Inc.
From 9:00am – 4:00pm, visitors can tour Bed-Stuy’s spectacular collection of Victorian town homes and brownstones while funding college scholarships for local students.
The tour starts with a free homeowners and buyers panel from 9:00am – 10:30am at Boys & Girls High School (1700 Fulton St.), which will cover various topics from understanding home inspections to finding grant opportunities for down payments and closing costs.
“We created the annual House Tour to highlight our wonderful community as a dynamic environment for living, working, and raising families,” said House Tour Committee Chair Margie Fletcher. “Whether you’re a design enthusiast, architecture lover, or simply curious about Brooklyn’s hidden gems, this tour offers an exclusive glimpse into the creativity and style that define Bed-Stuy.”
This year, the Brownstoners aim to raise $25,000 to help fund its community initiatives. A portion of the proceeds from the house tour benefit the Bernard McDonald/George Glee Jr. Memorial Scholarship and Joan E. Maynard Scholarship Funds, awarded to deserving, college-bound graduates from Boys & Girls High School and Brooklyn Academy High School.
