Eleven Key Club students shared scholarships worth $22,500 from the Kiwanis Club of Clermont- Oakley Seaver Memorial Scholarship fund.
Candidates for the scholarships are selected by a series of qualifiers, including the student’s willingness to make a positive and constructive change in their school and/or community.
Standout student Cadence Whitehouse, a student at Montverde Academy, logged 1,000 hours of community service during her four-year membership with the Key Club.
She began with the Kiwanis sponsored K-Kids, Builders Club and received Key Club status. Cadence also served two consecutive years as the Lake County area Key Club Lieutenant Governor.

Real Life Christian Academy – Cherlande Noelma, Leylanie Rosier, Dohn Knowles and Manuel Almonte
Hope Preparatory Academy – Marissa Leverston
Montverde Academy – Cadence Whitehouse
East Ridge High School – Mackenzie Johnson
First Academy-Leesburg – Caroline Boque-Echavez and Reese Ponds
