– Trelleborg Medical Solutions donated $5,000 to the Rotary Club of Paso Robles Sunrise to support scholarships for local high school students pursuing medical careers.
The Rotary Club of Paso Robles Sunrise has partnered with Trelleborg Inc. to offer scholarships to Paso Robles High School seniors who plan to enter the medical field. With the donation, the club added two more $2,500 scholarships for graduating seniors.
“With this generous donation of $5,000, our club has added two more $2,500 scholarships to be granted to graduating seniors. Thank you Trelleborg,” said Les Simmons, president of the Rotary Club of Paso Robles Sunrise.
Jenn Hocker, human resources manager, and Jason Green, general manager at Trelleborg, said, “Partnering with the Rotary club to sponsor scholarships gives us an opportunity to support the community that makes up our organization. Science and engineering is the foundation that drives innovation and new advancements in technology. Trelleborg wishes to contribute to the success of young professionals continuing their education and beginning a career in the healthcare industry.”
Trelleborg Medical Solutions, based in Paso Robles, manufactures long-term implantable medical device components and supplies parts for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. The company’s mission is to improve patient quality of life by producing high-quality, innovative components for the healthcare industry.
The Rotary Club of Paso Robles Sunrise meets Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Culinary Arts Academy. The meetings feature speakers from various sectors, including nonprofits and government agencies. The club continues to seek new members interested in networking, fellowship, and community service.
