High school students from across the valley are gearing up for the 20th Annual Academic World Quest competition, set to take place on February 13 at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus. Seven local high schools will be competing for top honors and scholarships, with the top three teams set to be awarded scholarships. The competition will test students’ knowledge on a variety of subjects, including space exploration, national security, border and boundary issues, and current global events.
The event will be a high-stakes contest, with the top team from the competition earning the opportunity to represent the region in Washington, D.C., where they will face off against other high school teams from across the country. This prestigious event is a valuable opportunity for students to demonstrate their academic prowess while engaging with complex and important topics that are relevant on both national and global scales.
Hosted by Michael Karp, the 20th Annual Academic World Quest competition promises to be an exciting and challenging experience for all participants. The event not only encourages intellectual growth but also provides an opportunity for students to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
