HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal-LaGrange University has announced the 2025 recipients of its Founders Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship awarded annually to two incoming students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership potential and Christ-centered values.
This year’s recipients are Micah Boeckman of Wright City and Katherine Anderson of Bloomington, Ill.
Boeckman will enter HLGU this fall as a business administration major with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and management. A graduate of Wright City R-II High School, he is a son of Cassie and Matt Boeckman.
Anderson will pursue a degree in K-12 special education and plans to be involved in the HLGU theatre and Honors Program. A graduate of Calvary Christian Academy, she is a daughter of Rick and Rebekah Anderson.
The Founders Scholarship is the highest academic award offered by Hannibal- LaGrange University. To be eligible, prospective students must be admitted to the university and have an ACT composite score of 27 or higher. Finalists are invited to submit an essay and participate in an interview with a panel of HLGU faculty members who evaluate candidates based on academic achievement, communication skills and alignment with the university’s mission.
“We are thrilled to welcome Micah and Katherine to HLGU,” HLGU president Robert Matz said in a press release. “They represent the next generation of servant leaders, and we are confident they will impact eternity for Christ both on campus and beyond.”
