In 1986, the Webb City R-7 School District initiated the Webb City High School Scholarship Program for the purpose of honoring the academic leaders. That year, 17 students earned an Honor Diploma and each received a scholarship in the amount of $100 from funds that had been raised from alumni, staff and community members. That tradition continued for the 40th time on May 5, 2025, at the Webb City High School Academic Awards Ceremony when 62 graduates were presented $250 scholarships.
Since 1986, 1,937 have received over $427,050 in Honor Diploma Scholarships. In addition to these scholarships, the Webb City R-7 School District Foundation now administers numerous other endowed scholarships. This year, the foundation scholarship program awarded a total of $93,700 to members of the Class of 2025, and since its beginning in 1986, has awarded over $1,271,810.
In addition to those awards, several local organizations presented their scholarships, as did numerous colleges and universities.
