To an outsider, the tiny detail might have passed unnoticed amid the complex web of daily services and care that many senior living residents in New York require. But to Eccleston, the Sleepy Hollow facility’s CEO, the moment underscored how crucial attracting and retaining nurses has become due to heated national competition for an inadequate pool of health care workers.
