CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — HTC is encouraging local students to apply for the 2025 Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) scholarship.
This scholarship allows high school graduates an opportunity to receive financial assistance during their first year of college or vocational school.
According to the press release, this program is "dedicated to supporting the educational goals of rural youth and fostering the next generation of leaders."
This program awards scholarships of up to $2,500.

Along with the financial support, this scholarship also provides the opportunity to connect with peers, build a network and explore how advancements in telecommunications can cause growth.
“Supporting students through opportunities like the FRS Scholarship Program is an extension of HTC’s commitment to our community,” said Sandy Hendrick, HTC marketing manager. “This scholarship opens doors for students to achieve their dreams.”
The deadline to submit is 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14.
