DIBOLL — Two East Texas high school graduates have been selected as recipients of the 2025 Koch Family Foundation Dependent Scholarships of $2,000 in recognition of their dedication and meaningful contributions to their schools and communities. This year’s recipients are Kaleigh Ryanne Standley, a Livingston High School graduate, and Hudson High School graduate Sidney “Jayden” Dickerson.
“Congratulations to Kaleigh and Jayden for earning the Koch Family Foundation Dependent Scholarship through their commitment and hard work,” said Yana Ogletree, Georgia-Pacific’s public and government affairs manager for Texas. “Education enables scholars to discover, develop and apply their talents, contributing to the community and their own self-fulfillment. We wish them continued success as they begin the next step of their learning journey.”
Kaleigh is the daughter of Chris Standley, a department superintendent at Georgia-Pacific’s Camden Plywood, a Koch company. Kaleigh will be attending Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, this fall, majoring in biology.
A 2024 graduate of Hudson High School, Jayden is entering her sophomore year at Texas A&M University where she is majoring in agricultural economics. Jayden is the daughter of Mark Dickerson, a lumber trader on the Georgia-Pacific sales team which offices in Diboll.
The Koch Family Foundation Dependent Scholarship Awards is a competitive scholarship program for high school seniors and undergraduate and skilled-trade students. $2,000 scholarships are awarded to qualifying dependents of full-time Koch company employees.
“Education is one of Georgia-Pacific’s four areas of impact in our stewardship initiatives,” said Curley Dossman, president of Community Programs, Georgia-Pacific and vice president of the Koch Companies Community Fund. “Being named a 2025 Koch Family Foundation Scholar celebrates each recipient’s pursuit of excellence and achievement. We congratulate the recipients and wish them success in their personal, education and career goals.”
The scholarship is just one of many initiatives supporting education through the Koch Family Foundation. The foundation supports the organization’s mission to inspire a new generation of lifelong learners who make lasting contributions to society and their communities.
