Hue students receive over 200 Vallet scholarships – Vietnam+ (VietnamPlus)

Launched in 2001, the Vallet scholarship programme has grown to cover students nationwide. Jointly operated in France, Vietnam, and Benin, it has awarded more than 80,000 scholarships so far, including over 50,000 in Vietnam.
Hue (VNA) – As many as 219 outstanding students in Hue city were presented with Vallet scholarships by the Rencontres du Vietnam (Meeting Vietnam) organisation at a ceremony on August 29.
They included 152 scholarships worth 16 million VND (over 607 USD) each for secondary and high school students, and 67 valued at 32 million VND (1,214 USD) each for university students.
Addressing the event, Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue city People’s Committee, said the scholarships serve as timely encouragement for high-performing students, inspiring them to strive harder in their study. He stressed that the programme also nurtures a spirit of learning and self-development among Hue’s young generation.

Vietnamese students achieved remarkable successes, excelling in various categories. Seven out of 22 students passed the N1 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test – the highest level – while 16 out of 34 students received the special award. Notably, some Vietnamese students were recognised for outstanding achievements in all three award categories.
This is the 25th consecutive year that the Vallet Scholarship has been awarded in Vietnam. To date, more than 55,000 scholarships with a total value exceeding 500 billion VND have been granted to Vietnamese students.
Each year, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the “For Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa” Club provide around 100 scholarships to students in Bac Lieu.
Vietnam has implemented 40 amnesties in 80 years. Since 2009, 11 presidential decisions have benefited nearly 100,000 prisoners.
The non-physical tickets will apply to one-month and multi-month passes on Line 2A Cat Linh – Ha Dong and Line 3.1 Nhon – Hanoi Station.
The Ministry of Public Security launched a campaign on August 29 to safeguard the grand parade and march marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

Passengers can access free rides in one by scanning with a citizen ID card or a chip-embedded citizen ID card at the ticket gate, or by using a QR code generated via the HCMC Metro HURC app. If passengers purchase tickets in the usual way, the system will charge the fare and payments will not be refunded.
The naval air brigade No. 954 is among those taking part for the first time in the maritime parade. Experienced pilots with excellent flying skills were selected to operate aircraft such as the Ka-28 and DHC-6 in the designated formations.

Each Vietnamese citizen will receive 100,000 VND (3.79 USD) as gift on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day – September 2.
