Williamsport, Pa.Ā ā Lancaster-based charitable organization High Foundation has announced 2025’s High Scholarship Award participants: Matthew Crider of Lancaster, Lilian Mahonski of Springboro, Ohio, and Kaycee Sontheimer of Williamsport.
The scholarship recipients were each honored and congratulated during a June 11 luncheon. Each scholarship recipient is a child of a worker in the High companies. The students each receive $20,000 scholarships, providing $5,000 per year for four years.
High Foundation has offered these scholarships for 42 years for students attending colleges or trade schools.
Kaycee Sontheimer, of Williamsport, is daughter of Neil Sontheimer, maintenance supervisor with High Steel Structures LLC in Williamsport. Her father joined High in 2000. Kaycee graduated from Hughesville High School, where she was an officer in Student Council, a member of the National Honor Society, and participated in Scholastic Scrimmage, Ski Club, and the Constitutional Convention.
Kaycee is also a dedicated dancer at LKW Dance Center, where she not only performs but also volunteers as a teacher-in-training and supported Princess Camp for younger dancers. One of Kayceeās most defining experiences has been training her horse, WikiĀ ā a journey that took more than two years of perseverance, patience, and grit. With a passion for animals, community, and lifelong learning, Kaycee plans to pursue a degree in Animal Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Penn State University.
