Human Trafficking Prevention Alliance offers scholarship opportunities – 2 News Nevada

The Human Trafficking Prevention Alliance is providing scholarship opportunities for Washoe County students graduating in 2026.
Students are invited to create original projects that promote understanding, healing, and peer education, based on the theme “Empathy and Healthy Relationships,” according to a release.
HTPA will award two scholarships of $1,000 each to submissions that demonstrate creativity, insight, and a commitment to fostering safe and respectful relationships among youth.
To be eligible, you must be a high school senior graduating in the Class of 2026 or a youth between 16 and 19 years old who has earned a GED.
“This contest is about more than just scholarship money—it’s about empowering youth to lead conversations that matter,” said Janet Lombardo, Founder and CEO of HTPA. “Empathy is a powerful tool in preventing exploitation and building stronger communities. We want to hear how students see it, live it, and share it.”
