Renda Media and Digital yesterday presented an Indiana Senior High graduate with a scholarship to help her future education.
2025 IHS Graduate Zaliyah Covey was honored yesterday with her scholarship on Indiana in the Morning on WCCS. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Covey’s family moved to Indiana when she was two years old. During her time in High School, she was a part of the Christian ministry club Younglife, and two years ago took the opportunity to expand the program to middle schoolers.
Covey said that she worked hard to bring the club to the junior high, and building the club meant a lot to her.
The $500 scholarship awarded by random draw was part of Renda Media’s Salute to Seniors 2025 program. Covey is planning to go to IUP for criminology, with hopes to continue her studies at Liberty or at Penn State.
