ILLINOIS, (KBSI)- The Illinois Sheriffs’ Association will award more than $58,000 in college scholarships to students pursuing higher education in the 2025-2026 academic year.
The scholarships, applicable to tuition, books, and fees, require students to be enrolled full-time at an Illinois institution of higher learning or an Illinois-based online school.
To be eligible, applicants must be permanent Illinois residents, with no restrictions based on race, age, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
Applications are available at local sheriff’s offices or on the ISA website and must be submitted by March 14, 2025.
Randolph County Sheriff Jarrod Peters will award one $500 scholarship. Students can contact their local sheriff’s office, the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association, or their high school advising center or college financial aid office for more information.
